Only after linking it to a new account will you receive the 1-year membership. If you connect it to an account that previously had a Whoop band .. you'll not receive the 1-year membership. This is Whoop’s policy and unfortunately beyond our control.

Note: When pairing the band with your phone .. the Whoop app will ask for a credit card.

Why is a card required? Simply put .. Whoop wants to ensure that once the included 1-year membership ends .. you have a valid payment method ready for renewal.

The card must have sufficient funds .. but don’t worry—no charges will be made at the time of setup.

If your card is declined during the setup process .. try a different card or check your balance.
